The Parsons Pop Up
Please join us for our events and help us celebrate the diverse creative endeavors of students and faculty at Parsons School of Design.
Parsons Pop Up / Shirt Stories Fashion Lab
Parsons School of Design presents Shirt Stories, a first upcycle fashion workshop pop up in collaboration with Housing Works. By redesigning shirts that were given by Housing Works the goal of the pop up workshop is to give a new (and fashionable) life to unwanted shirts and encourage upcycling. Through hands-on fashion upcycling workshops we will be making a difference in our effort to minimize textile waste.
There will be a Shirt Stories showcase, which will display upcycled shirts redesigned by Parsons students. Each shirt will be presented with a story of its dramatic or gut-bursting past, revealing the relationship between the shirt and its previous owner.
All the showcased shirts will be up for sale with proceeds benefiting Housing Works. Shirts will be up for sale to benefit Housing Works.
The pop up will be held on December 15, 2015 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the lobby.
